Since about 1990 in the southern pacific region of Costa Rica, roads and government services have been greatly improved to keep pace with the tremendous growth of tourism in the area.

This area has much to offer - a great diversity of both marine and terrestial enviroments, from beaches and reefs to mangrove swamps and virgin mountain forest.

It was during this time that the Hotel Diuwak was founded to provide national and international tourists with a combination of comfort and adventure while they discover the awesome natural beauty of Dominical and its surrounding area.

Thanks to the efforts of a Costa Rican family headed by Mr. Orlando Castro Murillo, the founder and present owner, the Diuwak complex can now offer the tourist a familiar home-away-from-home, 50 meters from the beach, in an exotic and exciting land of extreme natural beauty and romantic sunsets.

The hotel offers rooms or apartments for up to three persons. Half have air conditioning and the others are fan ventilated.
